Amitabh, Kareena starrer ‘Satyagraha’ poster out

The wait is finally over and the makers of ‘Satyagraha’ have released the poster of much awaited movie of 2013 ‘Satyagraha’. Based on the social economic subject, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao in the lead role. The poster shows the lead actors of the movie protesting at the India gate against the objection of the police in heavy downpour.

Amitabh Bachchan’s role is said to be inspired from social reformer Anna Hazare and Kareena Kapoor plays a journalist in the film. The teasers are expected to be out tomorrow.
Prakash Jha who directed movies on social subjects like Damul (1984), Mrityudand (1997), Gangaajal (2003), Apaharan (2005), Raajneeti (2010) and Chakravyuh (2012) directed the political saga ‘Satyagraha’. The film is based on protest against corrupt system and evil beliefs prevail in the society.
The film will be screened in South Africa due to"inherent Mahatma Gandhi connection", says a source. "A plan is being auctioned right now for a screening in South Africa for ‘Satyagraha’ because of its inherent Mahatma Gandhi connection. It is being finalized which cast members will be travelling for the screening," said a source close to the team.
The film will hit the theatres worldwide on 23 August, 2013.
