Hubby Siddharth receives Vidya at the airport

The beautiful and gracious ‘Kahaani’ star is back in town! Clad in a long free-flowing maxi dress with a black shirt to team up with, Vidya Balan along with husband and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur

Siddharth Roy Kapur were spotted at Mumbai’s International airport yesterday as they returned from the 66^th Cannes festival. While hubby Siddharth was seen in casual jeans and a black shirt, Vidya looked simple and elegant as usual. According to sources, Siddharth surprised Vidya with a sudden entry while she was busy being a part of the prestigious jury at Cannes. Vidya revealed that she was missing her newly wed hubby far too much than she expected and she was excited to see a bouquet of her favourite orchids at her hotel room that indicated Siddharth was somewhere around. Siddharth who was supposed to join Vidya at the Cannes, could not do so owing to some important work. The newly weds had planned a short vacation in France after the festival was over. They are now back into action with Vidya soon starting with her shooting schedules for a new film titled ‘Shaadi ke side effects’ going on the floor in June.

Vidya Balan was a part of the prestigious jury in Cannes that composed of greats of the like of Nicole Kidman, Steven Spielberg and Japanese director Naomi Kawase. Although her style statement at the Cannes took the Indian media and critics by storm, Vidya managed to create quite a stir with her Indian avatar, the Sabyasachi sarees and not to forget that very traditional nose ring. According to actress Sonam Kapoor, who was also at the Cannes, mentioned that Balan was much appreciated for her talent and style. Infact she received a standing ovation when she was introduced as a jury member on stage. Along with contemporaries like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan surely did a commendable job in making a statement of her own at the film festival.
So as Vidya starts with the promotions of her soon to be released Hindi film ‘Ghanchakkar’ that pairs her up with Emraan Hashmi, this beautiful lady is definitely feeling enriched after her short stint with the who’s who of international cinema at the Cannes. As Vidya gleamed in her vivacious smile in an interview, she mentioned that being a movie buff herself, what could have been better than relishing the best of world cinema with the greats at a platform like the Cannes!
