Superstar Amitabh Bachchan had quite an eventful 70th birthday. On 10th October a grand party was organized by his wife Jaya Bachchan.
More than eight hundred people gathered for the party. The guests came from almost all walks of life, like Anil Ambani, Yash Chopra, Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP chief minister and his son Akhilesh Yadav, Adi Godrej, Udav Thackeray. Almost the entire Bollywood was also present. The man who managed the show was, Karan Johar.
There was lot of glitz and glamour involved. The venue for the party was Reliance Mediaworks at Film city, Goregaon.
The designer for the occasion was Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosala. Amitabh looked marvelous in their outfit, as did the entire Bachchan family. Also for the first time baby Aaradhya was shown to the media. In her white dress she looked quite an angel.
Speaking on the occasion, Amitabh said that his family always comes first, than fame, money and power. As for the fans, he thanked them for their affection and that’s something which has kept him going for so long. He also said that spending the day with his children, grand children was all that he wanted, and really cherished it.
There were congratulatory messages throughout for the party. Actress Madhuri Dixit said “Had an amazing time at Amitji's party. Was a re-union of sorts. Got to spend time with so many of my friends! It was great seeing everyone! It was an honor to be in the presence of so many talented people. It brought back so many amazing memories. Looking forward to more!.”
While another superstar Rajnikanth, said, “I pray to God and wish for him a long life and good health.”
Well the celebrations didn’t get over that day. The next day which was actually his birthday, he had spent as usual, acting, writing on twitter. But the surprise came in the evening, on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati . The entire crew of KBC had organized a small party on the sets. First a cake which had an imprint of Big B, with 70 years written on it was cut by him. Then the winner of Indian Idol 6, Vipul Mehta, crooned Amitabh’s favorite songs, Mere Paas Aao Mere Doston , from his movie Mr. Natwarlal . Amitabh thanked everyone on the set for this very sweet gesture.
