Deepika still has a soft corner for Ranbir Kapoor

Deepika Padukonehas said that she and Ranbir Kapoor are still friends. The actress while speaking to the Times of India, revealed many things about her childhood and how she came to the film industry.

She was asked about why she chose the film industry. Deepika’s answer to the question was that she was once a national level badminton player. She picked up the game as her father Prakash Padukone was a world famous badminton player. But she was not quite interested in the game. Acting and modeling attracted her more. She had even done an ad at the age of eight. Then in Chennai she was spotted by filmmaker Balki, who asked her to audition for Liril soap ad. Because of her poor attendance she had to quit college and moved to Mumbai.

There she worked in a music video for Himesh Reshamiya. Due to that she was spotted by Farah Khan. Who choose her to act in Om Shanti Om. The rest as they say it….is history.
She didn’t give any explanation, why her relationship broke with Ranbir Kapoor. She just said, sometimes two persons are just not meant to be together. When asked if the relationship has hurt her, she answered in the affirmative and said, “Obviously, when it happened, it hurt me for a very long time but as you mature, you realize that everything that happens, is for the good. I have opened up a lot as a person as a result. It gave me a lot of confidence that I did not have earlier. I became a friendlier and more social person. I was always an emotional and sensitive person, but my years with Ranbir made me learn a lot about life, relationships and people.”
However, Deepika has moved on, now she is even doing a movie with Ranbir. It’s Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. She is also going to do the desi Juliet in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie Ram Leela.

The actress has also more reason to smile. Her smile has been adjudged the best smile of Bollywood by a dental brand. Speaking on that she said, “I get my smile from my mother. More importantly, it’s about feeling beautiful from within. That’s when a smile turns into a beautiful one.”
Really with her stardom increasing every day, she would have more reasons to smile in the future.
