Shocking: Filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh passes away at 49




Bengali noted filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh passes away at 49. He breathed his last this morning in Kolkata. He died due to heart attack. He was suffering from Pancreatitis.
He received national award for best director for his Bengali movie ‘Abohoman’ starring Jishu Sengupta and Ananya Chaterjee and 'Choker Bali' starring Aishwarya Rai and Prosenjit. He ventured into direction with ‘Hiren Angti’. Rituparno has directed many Hindi and Bengali films.
Ghosh was born to well known documentary filmmaker on August 31, 1963 in Kolkata. 'Last Lear', 'Choker Bali', 'Raincoat' are few of his highly acclaimed movies.
Celebrities took to twitter to expressed their condolence.

Madhur Bhandarkar: I m speechless & shocked to know that talented filmmaker Rituparna Ghosh has expired. I had met Ritu a couple of time, he was a very warm & humorous person. He most definitely will be missed.
