This is yet another indie film that despite doing the international festival rounds didn't find any takers for a release in India
That was until Kiran Rao decided to present Ship of Theseus after the film impressed her. It has now been selected by the British Council for its list of movies that can change your life.
A source from the organisation says, `A group of critics under the Critics Circle of the British Council selected the film for the coveted list. Some of the other films that have received the honour are Annie Hall, Raging Bull, The Battle of Algiers and Hamlet.
The film explores questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker. It has been an eye-opener for a lot of its audience members.`
An ecstatic Gandhi says, `Derek Malcolm, one of the members of the Critics Circle chose my film. It's an honour to be part of a film that can actually change someone's life.`
