Amitabh Bachchan is not
in the best of his health these days. The superstar, who returned from
Cannes days ago after attending the screening of his film The Great
Gatsby, is currently suffering from his old stomach troubles. Amitabh
was depressed since a few days over the death of actress Jiah Khan with
whom he had starred in the film Nishabd.
Amitabh Bachchan underwent endoscopy at a clinic in Juhu on
Tuesday. He was then joined by a senior doctor to the Nanavati hospital
for further consultation. Not only this, he visited the Nanavati
hospital again on Wednesday complaining of backache. He was accompanied
by son Abhishek Bachchan and six bodyguards.
After the medical chek-up, Big B had written on his blog, “There is
a need to take it easy and rest is advised ..! Rest ? but I have been
resting all along … now when it is time to work, they ask me to rest ..
Okaay … so I shall obey them and rest, but only after the work has been
done.”
According to a close relative, Amitabh has been visiting the
Nanavati hospital for regular checkup after his stomach surgery last
year.
Bachchan had suffered a severe intestinal injury during the filming
of a fight scene in film Coolie. He had suffered a splenic rupture and
underwent emergency splenectomy. He was then admitted in hospital for
months.
