How Richa Chaddha loves to put her foot in the mouth

How Richa Chaddha loves to put her foot in the mouth

Gangs of Wasseypur actress Richa Chaddha simply loves to share details about every move of her in B-Town

Make it oversharing. From her personal stuff to her health chart to her causes -- everything is blurted out.

Richa made her Bollywood debut in Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! but got noticed after Gangs of Wasseypur last year.

With Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's upcoming film besides Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Deepika-Ranveer starrer, a long-in-the-making film with Nikhil Dwivedi as well as another with Neil Nitin Mukesh, her plate is full.

Yet, the actress has been leaving nothing to grab attention. In fact, it has become a tad too much that we've decided to a countdown of Richaspeak....

1. Leg before ticket
Her recognition came with an appendage -- her leg. Every now and then Richa talks about her pins. But more than flashing them in a short number, it is about the aches and pains her knees have to withstand. If she is not slipping every now and then on the sets, she is suffering from a fracture.

The pain became particularly unbearable just before her visit to Cannes last year. But there was nothing that could stop her from being on the red carpet. Strangely, at Cannes she posed for snapshots with the rest of the cast in high heels. The fracture seemed to have vanished.

The leg pain, however, erupted again during the shoot of Bhansali's film as she keeps slipping and apparently a doctor has to be summoned on the sets.

2. Cannes reveal it
Her Cannes trip last year for the Gangs of Wasseypur screening was so fruitful that two international projects came her way. She claimed that she met these filmmakers at the India Pavilion party and a casual meeting landed her a role. She was, however, in no position to spell out their names. Later, she was again approached by a topnotch international production house.

3. No to nudity
Somewhere down the line when asked what was happening to her international projects, she proclaimed that she had refused them all as it involved doing nude scenes.

4. Underground movement
Richa claimed her phone did not stop ringing and was getting offers by the dozens after Gangs Of Wasseypur. She stated, `I have seen new actresses doing extremely average work and then going underground for lack of good projects. I don't want to be like that.` Her way of staying afloat was her gift of the gab.

5. Are you lonesome tonight?
Richa does not like being single. She proclaimed, `I am absolutely ready to mingle! I don't have a boyfriend and I am looking for one. I just did not think on these lines because I had to concentrate on work. But now when am doing well, I want to enjoy my life too.` Any takers?

6. The green cause
For Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's upcoming film, the actress had to be seen with a plate of chicken tikkas in a scene. But as she is a strict vegetarian, she could not even be seated on the table. The crew had to arrange for soya nuggets made to look like cooked meat. So everyone had to know about her unconditional love for animals.

7. The link effect
She was acting coach Barry John's student. `When I was 14, I wanted to learn acting. I had heard he was SRK's mentor, ` she stated. So when she met her coach at a film's premiere everyone had to know. `The connection we share is very strong.`

8. Hand it out
She has been claiming that Sanjay Leela Bhansali holds her hand too tight on the sets of his film while explaining a scene to her. Was it just before his infamous temper outbursts?

9. Do not underestimate
She started off with non-glamorous roles but to her surprise, she got offers only for glamorous characters. `I have realised all of us undermine ourselves so much.` Ah!

10. Are you Salma Hayek?
She is often mistaken to be a Hollywood actress. People particularly ask her if she is Salma Hayek. Next is what?
