My voice dubbed in Chennai Express, how mean: Deepika Padukone




The official trailer of Chennai Express has been creating waves ever since it was released. More so, Deepika Padukone’s character that has become a talk of the town courtesy excellent South Indian accent in the film. A lot of hard work has been put by Dippy on that front, so the question of dubbed voice in the film completely shocked and hurt her.
“What my voice dubbed in Chennai Express, how mean,” reacted Deepika in a press conference when she was probed by the media about her accent whether someone has dubbed for her.
Deepika has so far played roles of uptown girl rich and classy but never had she played an earthy character like in Chennai Express. 
She goes on to add, “We worked really hard for it. And it's now become a part of how I speak.” She continued with reciting a dialogue of the film live before media.
Interestingly, Deepika was heard dubbing for CE in SRK’s vanity van. The film which is about a man whose life turns upside down after meeting the daughter of  a Don and eventually falls in love with her.
