Raj Kundra apologizes to Shilpa on her birthday

Amidst the controversy relating betting at IPL, Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty observes her birthday keeping minimal celebrations. Husband and co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, Raj Kundra apologized to the actress for the recent disturbances that the IPL spot fixing controversy brought with it and the mental  pain and agony that the couple had to go through.  

Kundra tweeted, "Wishing my gorgeous wife @theshilpashetty a very happy birthday, apologies for all this nonsense u have had to deal with. Truth is coming out." The police alleged Raj Kundra to have played a role in betting and that his wife Shilpa had also placed a bet of Rs.1 lakh in IPL.
Both Kundra and Shilpa claim innocence. The actress earlier tweeted, "For those who care, my apparent involvement in betting is complete nonsense and I have never bet on any cricket match ever. Truth will prevail." She further added, "We love cricket, it's the passion for the sport that made us a part of IPL. It's extremely disheartening to keep clarifying that."
On twitter Kundra extended his thanks to Amitabh Bachchan for his wishes to Shilpa. Kundra wrote, "Thank you @SrBachchan sir your message on Shilpa's birthday gives her a smile that no other message can. It always means a lot to her. :)."
Shilpa also received birthday wish from Rajasthan Royals player Ajinkya Rahane. He wrote"@TheShilpaShetty wish you many many happy returns of the day madam. May God bless you n gives you all the happiness n love."
According to a source, Shilpa is disturbed by the recent news on spot fixing. She has decided not to celebrate her birthday this year. Instead the actress will perform a Maha Puja at the famous Shree Tirupati Balaji Temple.
Shilpa Shetty was born on June 8, 1975 to Surendra and Sunanda Shetty.  At the age of 16, she started her career as a model and two years later, got a break in Bollywood movie, ‘Bazzigar’.  She has given fantastic performances in her movies like ‘Life in a metro’, ‘Apne’ and ‘Phir Milenge’. Shilpa became a global face when she won British celebrity reality show ‘Big Brother’ in 2007. She received 63 percent vote in her favor.  She has also released an album on yoga and fitness. She married British Indian businessman Raj Kundra on 22nd November 2009 and they are blessed with a son, Viaan Kundra. We all wish Shilpa a very Happy Birthday.
