‘Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani’ crosses 100 crore mark

Ayan Mukherjee’s directed film, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani’ has set a new record. The movie has already broken the opening record of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’ and now it became the first movie of 2013 to enter 100 crore club in just one week of its release. The film starts off with flying colors and made a bumper opening of Rs.19.45 crore in the country. In the first weekend, the film made a whopping Rs.62.11 crore. The film has crossed 100 crore mark and is still counting. "100 crore. And still counting," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film is a hit among the youngsters and the movie has done a really good business in multiplexes as well as single theatres. The movie has done a good overseas business. The movie minted Rs.19.45 crore on its opening day and brought in business of Rs.20.16 crore and Rs.22.5 crore, on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Produced by Dharma Productions, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ is a rom-com starring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin in the lead. Interesting storyline, eye-catching cinematography, peppy music, touching dialogue made the film a hit among the audience.
This is Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s first film together after break-up and what surprising is that their chemistry sizzles on-screen.
The film has made fastest 100 this year and the numbers are expected to go up in every passing day.
