Sri Lankan beauty and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in an item song in the forthcoming movie, ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’. The item song goes as ‘Jaadu Ki Jhappi’ and the actress said that she is inspired by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s item number ‘Kajra Re’ from ‘Bunty and Babli’. Jacqueline has sport a desi look for the song.
‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ has been directed by ace choreographer cum director Prabhu Deva and he himself has choreographed the song. The last item song that he has choreographed is ‘ Go Go Govinda’ where he grooved with Sonakshi Sinha for the movie, Oh My God!
Talking about 'Kajra re', she said: "I think it was choreographed beautifully, Aishwarya was looking stunning...I love that song and I remember hearing it when I came to India, so it kind of remained and I think it was amazing. It is my favourite," said the actress here at the unveiling of the item number Monday.
The track ‘Jaadu Ki Jhappi’ is inspired from Sanjay Dutt’s popular line from ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ Talking about Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline said, "I don't think we can ever take that title (Jaadu Ki Jhappi) away from him. He was the first person to say it. Hopefully we will become as popular as he (his line) is."
Jacqueline has done her first item number in ‘Housefull’ . She has bagged a promising project post her break-up with Sajid Khan, the hot actress will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ opposite Salman Khan.
Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ starring Girish Tarauni and Shruti Hassan in the lead roles is slated to release on July 19th.
