His sister may be a big name to reckon with in Bollywood but looks like Tusshar Kapoor wants to go his own way to revive his father veteran actor Jeetendra's film banner Siddhivinayak Films. Sources close to Tusshar say that this is the same banner that was initially known as Tirupati Pictures. The actor will now apparently give it a new name.
A source says, `Tusshar has expressed his desire to venture into production and is even looking for scripts.`
During the '70s and the '80s, the veteran actor along with his brother made several films under the banner but shut shop after Deedar-e- Yaar (1982) proved to be a dud. Jeetendra re-launched it later and went on to do Govinda's Kyun Kii Main Jhuth Nahi Bolta and Kucch Toh Hai.
The source adds, `Jeetendra was behind establishing Ekta's company too but eventually his wife Shobhaa joined hands with their daughter to manage it. Tusshar has now decided to follow in the footsteps of his sister and is going to reintroduce the banner,` adds the source.
Tusshar's new banner apparently will be separate from his sister's production house. Says the actor, `I want to name the banner after my father as quite a lot of emotions are attached with it. I wanted to surprise him but I guess he will now read about it in your newspaper.`
