'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns' to release tomorrow

Tomorrow is the big day for the team of ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ team as it is releasing all over India on 8^th March 2013. After the phenomenal success of the film ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster’ (released in the year 2011) it was only but natural to follow it up with a sequel. The film director of the series speaking about his decision to make the sequel stated that, "As a writer and director of the franchise, I was not creatively satisfied with the first part. We wanted to exploit it after the first one became a hit.” He farther added, "It was made on a shoestring budget and could not bring out the royalty in an opulent way. There was so much masala still left in the film that we thought we should carry the story forward." The director Tigmanshu Dhulia also mentioned that the sequel will be much more "opulent and intriguing" than its predecessor.
The actors Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill continue to play the role of the Saheb and Biwi in the sequel too. The brilliant actor Irrfan Khan plays the role of the gangster in the new movie. Soha Ali Khan is also part of the star cast.
Recently controversy surrounded the movie as the rumor that the character played by Mahie Gill is inspired by the late queen of Jaipur, Maharani Gayatri Devi. It is damaging to the reputation of one of the oldest royal family of the world. A law suit against the makers of the movie was sure to delay the release of the film indefinitely. To avoid the legal hassles the makers of the movie have arranged for a special screening of the movie only for the members of Jaipur royal family. The ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ team even had to cancel a few promotional events to make the screening possible. It seems the producers don’t want to take any chances with the film.
This Friday releasing with ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ is the movie ‘Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga’. It is a satire on the growing inflation rates of the country and how it is affecting the Indian middle class. The movie is the one which is supposed to give direct competition to the romantic thriller. Also ‘Kai Po Che’ is still holding its popularity at the box office.
However, ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster returns’ has its own niche and crowd to pull.
