Tennis Star Sania Mirza and her husband Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik are likely to be a part of dance show Nach Baliye.
The couple had earlier also appeared on the small screen. It was during Raveena Tandon’s Chat show. That was almost six months ago in April. They had at that time grooved to the tunes of Munni Badnam hui and Dabangg.
A source informs that the two were quite interested to appear on the small screen once again. The two had been approached and their response was being awaited.
Sania has been the runners up at the recently concluded Beijing open. She had paired up with N. Llagostera Vives. They were beaten by the pair of Elena Vesnina and E Makarova in the finals.
Sania is meanwhile thinking of pairing up with younger of the Bryan brothers, Boy Brayan for next year’s Australian Open. She had earlier won the Australian open with Mahesh Bhupati. Also last year she won the French Open with Mahesh. However the fighting between the senior players before the Olympics this year, led to the successful pairing being broken. The players have after that decided that they are not going to play together.
Though it will be nice for Sania to play with Bob Bryan as he has recently won his 82nd title in Beijing .He is also the winner of 18 grand slam doubles.
Meanwhile Shoaib is concentrating on his Sialkot Stallions, who are playing in the ongoing champions league T20. Yesterday they had a harsh day. They were thoroughly defeated by the Auckland Aces. The Pakistani club managed to put up only 130 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. The credit for that goes to the bowling of Kyle Mills and Michael Bates. They gave only eleven runs in the first five overs. Shoaib Malik and Sahid Yosuf later tried to steady the innings. They dealt mostly in boundaries but the singles they took were very meagre.
At the post match ceremony he said, “It was very tough when we were batting and the Auckland bowlers used the conditions well, but Shahid Yousuf batted brilliantly in the end. I thought it was enough.” They next have a must win game against Hampshire.
We sure hope that both of them have success in their respective games and life.
