The actor has apparently invited the South star to his home Krishna Raj and has even pledged his support to the Bollywood debutant
Dhanush is no new name to South cinema, but the actor and son-in-law of Rajnikanth's upcoming Hindi film Raanjhanaa is only his first in Bollywood. And sources say to make him feel at home in B-town, Ranbir Kapoor apparently called Dhanush up to compliment him on his looks in his next and even invited him home to Krishna Raj in Bandra.
A source says, `Ranbir dialled Dhanush up to tell him how much he liked the promos of his next film. RK assured the Bollywood debutant that he would be there next to him in his time of need. This is the first time Ranbir has gone all out to offer help to any fellow actor.`
Apparently Dhanush's innocent looks from his next film impressed Ranbir and the two had a long conversation over the phone. `He told Dhanush that he could give him a call any time for help,` adds the source.
Both the actors remained unavailable for comment.
Bollywood's helping hands
While the battle for one-upmanship is rampant in the industry, some actors have gone out of their way to extend a helping hand to newbies.
Salman Khan
He is known to help make the careers of many of his co-stars and friends from the industry. When Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja chose to make his debut with the remake of Zanjeer, Salman expressed his support towards him by sending biryani to the sets.
Later Ram also took Sallu's advice while purchasing a property in Bandra where the star resides.
Rani Mukerji
Prithviraj made his debut opposite Rani in Aiyyaa last year. Although the film did not do well at the box office, the South star managed to win a lot of female fan following. And according to reports, Rani liked his work so much that she even recommended him for Aurangzeb.
Abhishek Bachchan
Rana Daggubati made his debut in Dum Maaro Dum with Abhishek as his co-star. It is said that Abhishek was offered Rana's role initially but he swapped it.
Rana later replaced him in RGV's Department. Reportedly, Abhishek treated Rana like his brother on the sets.
