One of the main attractions of People’s Choice Awards was the performance by the newly wedded couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor but alas Saif backed out at the last minute leaving the organizers at the lurch.
Kareena Kapoor Khan made her first public appearance after marriage sans her husband at the People’s Choice Awards. She wore one shoulder white gown and looked awesome. Saif was to perform at the event with his begum but he did not turn up for the event owing to ill health. One day before the award show, he called up the organizers and informed that he could not perform with Kareena as he is sick.
Saif and Kareena were to perform in their solo hits as well as perform together for a special number but the programme shattered due to Saif’s ill-health.
Without any delay, the organizers quickly found a suitable replacement for Saif. Luckily, they got the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa winner Gurmeet Choudhary and Rithvik Dhanjani to fill in for Saif’s space.
A source claims, “Saif informed the organisers on Thursday that as he is unwell, he will have to bow out. As it was a last minute decision, the situation became chaotic. Though the organisers understood Saif’s problem, their plan to have both Saif and Kareena on stage post marriage alas couldn’t materialise.”
Well, Kareena took the challenge and on Saturday evening, she performed solo on her hit numbers Halkat Jawani (Heroine), Chamak Challo (RA.One, 2011). A day before the event, two dancers and television actors Gurmeet and Rithvik joined in and rehearsed with Bebo on Saif’s hit songs Tumhi Ho Bandhu (Cocktail), Raabta (Agent Vinod) etc.
Well, the fans were disheartened as they could not see the new wedded couple Saif and Kareena on the stage together first time after marriage.
