So today is the great day when finally Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan ties the knot and settles down in a blissful married life. The celebration already started on the Sunday evening as the couple threw a fun party for close family and friends. The venue was Bebo’s apartment terrace in Bandra, Mumbai. The party went on long and Kareena appeared in the party dressed like a bride. She as usual looked stunning and reminded the world how lucky the chote nawab of Pataudi is.
Let us take a walk down the memory lane and recall how the great love affair ignited between the power couple of Bollywood and how it grew over the time. Bebo was more forthcoming about her relationship with Saif, after the release of her movie ‘Heroine’. In fact she had promised to reveal more about her love life after the release.
Once upon a time Shahid Kapurwas the boyfriend of Bebo. The MMS showing them lip locking in a restaurant made the rounds at that time and it stirred up quite a controversy. They were not together for long and after the release of their movie ‘Jab We Met’ they made public their break up.
After the break up Kareena Kapoor became busy shooting for the movie ‘Tashan’. There she saw the shirtless chote nawab taking a sun bath. It was love at first sight and soon they were seen chatting away endlessly at the sets of the film.
The couple dated each other for almost two months and then finally Saif smartly proposed her to come and live with him. Saif told her, “Look… I’m not 25 years old, you know. I can’t be dropping you home every night.” However, this was not an easy decision to take, keeping in mind the conservative Indian society. Bebo’s mother also needed convincing before Bebo could take the leap. Saif convinced Babita by saying “She’s my woman; I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We want to live together.” As Babita quietly accepted the idea, Bebo moved in with Saif.
For Kareena the greatest proof of the nawab’s love for her remains the tattoo that is on his hand that spells her name.
Saif and Kareena were supposed to tie the knot earlier this year. However, the marriage got postponed. This gave rise to many questions; even a possible beak up between the two was also speculated.
