‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ - the last romantic number of the movie called off

With its due release not less than a month away, the movie crew decided to go with the release without the last song sequence.
The song was supposed to be shot at Switzerland by Yash Chopra, but was postponed due to his illness.
Yash ji was infected by dengue and the virus did see to it that the song shoot be canceled forever. It was a romantic song and was picturised on Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Yashji’s death due to the virus stirred up the people in the country, developing panic among the residents and among those who are undergoing treatment for the same.
The Reason for not completing the shoot and going ahead with the release is that no one wants to touch any of what is completed and tamper with the frames, since that would mean tampering with the vision of Yashji.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ being the last movie of the legend’s lifetime they want to keep it the way Yash ji visualized it. Aditya Chopra was to be accompanying his father to the location where the song was to be shot, but now after his father’s collapse adding anything to the movie will be disproportionate.
Designer Manish Malhotra reveals that the last song that was to be the title track was about to feature Katrina in a chiffon sari at one of his favorite location – the Swizz Alps.
Manish Malhotra also tweeted the following in twitter "We were to go to the Swiss Alps to shoot a song with Katrina (Kaif) in a chiffon saris. He discussed the saris with passion and used to tell me that 'I want you to be there at the shoot'."
Yashji was scheduled to travel in the end of October but then was diagnosed with dengue and succumbed to it. The film was his brain child and the last that he gave to the industry and his followers. May be it was meant to be this way that his last and final gift to the industry was to be without the signature romantic song, that almost all his movies are known for.
Though Chopra had declared on his last birthday, that he would retire after ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, no one thought that this would be the last. While he completed his last film and fulfilled his wish, he couldn’t see the release.
