Lead Pairs of Bollywood films who tied the knot

Our Hindi Film Industry has some of the best looking actors, both male and female. The shooting schedules of films that they do together make it very normal for them to get attracted to each other. Then there are parties, other events and social-dos that make them bump into each other. All this just adds to their brewing off-screen chemistry. Evidently, there are many couples in Bollywood who transcended their on- screen romance into reality and then even tied the knot. Let us take a look at some those couples who worked as the leads in reel and then got married in real life.
Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan-
Amitabh and Jaya Bhaduri got married in the year 1973. They worked in a few of films together before their marriage like “Mili”. It was “Zanjeer” that released that year and only after a week Amitabh proclaimed that he was to marry Jaya. In films like “Abhiman” and “Sholay”, the two were seen sharing screen space. Their last film together till date has been “Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham”. Their wedding list only included close family and friends. They have two children, named Shweta and Abhishek.
Dharmendra-Hema Malini-
A much-married and father of two was so besotted by the “dream girl”, that he married her. It was in the year 1980 when Hema Malini and Dharmendra got married. It is speculated that Dharmendra converted to Islam to marry Hema, as his previous wife did not agree to give him a divorce. The two fell in love while on the film-sets of “Sholay”.
They have two daughters named Esha and Ahana. Recently, the pair made an appearance in the film “Tell Me Oh Khuda”.
Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Singh-

Ajay Devgn-Kajol-
The two reflect different personality traits. Kajol is peppy and energetic, while Ajay is bashful and reticent. They fell in love while filming “Hulchul”. They remained romantically involved for some time before tying the knot in a simple and traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in the year 1999.
They are the proud parents of two children named Nysa and Yug. After marriage they appeared in “U, Me and Hum” and the recent film “Toonpur ka Superhero” which bombed at the box-office.
Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-
They are one of the most popular married couples of Bollywood. They have done quite a few films together such as “Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke”, “Kuch Na Kaho” and “Umrao Jaan”. The film “Guru” released during their marriage in the year 2006. The film made great business. They appeared in the films “Raavan” and “Sarkar Raj” after their marriage.
Ranveer Shorey-Konkona Sen Sharma-
They are both talented and are known for their excellence in acting. They tied the knot recently in 2010 and also have a baby boy named Haroon Shorey.
