Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra passes away



Ace filmmaker Yash Chopra passes away today. He was 80. Yash Chopra as been attacked with dengue and following which, he was admitted to Mumbai Lilavati hospital.

Doctors informed that he died due to multiple organ failure. "He had been suffering from complications of dengue for a long time. He suffered from multi organ failure, because of which he died," a hospital source said.

Known for his best movies, Yash Chopra has been an inspiration for many young talents. His production house Yash Raj banner has given many blockbuster over the years.

'Jab Tak Hain Jaan' was his last film which is scheduled to release in Diwali. It is reported that Yash Chopra had to postpone his trip to Switzerland for filming few portions of his upcoming film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ with Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma due to ill-health.
Yash Chopra announced his retirement from film direction recently. ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’ was his last directional venture. The film is slated to release in Diwali this year.

He made his directorial debut with Dhool Ka Phool in 1959. In the long tenure of his filmy career, Yash Chopra delivered several hits like 'Deewar', 'Trishul', 'Chandni', 'Silsila', 'Veer Zaara' and many others.
His departure was a great loss to the Hindi film industry which cannot be filled up by any other.
