Spotted: Married couple Saifeena at Delhi airport


Just married Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were clicked at the airport on their way to a Mughal themed reception in New Delhi. Saif wore a Nehru jacket and Kareena wore a grey top paired with blue jeans.

At the Delhi reception, Kareena will wear a pink ghagra and Saif will be wearing a Raghavendra Rathore creation. Also spotted at the airport Kareena’s aunt Reema Jain and her son Armaan. Karisma Kapoor and her two children, Samaira and Kiaan also accompanied them. The bride’s mother Babita also went to Delhi for the reception.

Manish Malhotra who designed Kareena’s pre and post wedding outfits said about the wedding, "fun being part of the beautiful wedding". Madhur Bhandarkar flew from Mumbai to attend the Delhi reception. Saif’s sister Soha Ali Khan and her boyfriend Kunal Khemu was part of the event.

Sharmila Tagore spoke to reporters in Delhi, “Bless the couple and join in our happiness . The venue, the decor is not important. What I am wearing is not important, the marriage is. We are all very happy. There was no reception in Mumbai, just the marriage. We danced, we had a lot of fun. There is no celebration in Pataudi, not now at least. "We may have something later. Abhi sab thak gaye hain. Abhi daal-chawal ka time aa gaya hain. (Right now we are all very tired and want things to be simple.)"

Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit attended Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's reception in Delhi. Politicians like Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Arun Jaitley, Sitaram Yechury, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shashi Tharoor, Amar Singh and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda were among the 500 guests. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur, former cricketer Kapil Dev, maestro Amjad Ali Khan, designer Ritu Kumar, actress Nandita Das and the Planning Commission's Montek Singh Ahluwalia graced the reception of Saif and Kareena.
