Big fight between Akshay and Salman next Eid

Akshay Kumar has got competition during Eid next year. It’s from big boss Salman Khan. Actually Akshay’s movie Once Upon A Time in Mumbai2 is supposed to be releasing during the Eid 2013.
However it has come to light now that Sohail Khan has acquired the rights of a South Indian movie. He is planning to cast Salman in that movie and would be releasing it during Eid next year. The reasons for an Eid release are obvious. Salman four back-to-back releases on Eid have been highly successful. It started with Wanted in 2009, followed by Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012).

A source said, “Salman has had an amazing track record with four back-to-back hits on Eid. The name of the South remake is being kept under wraps till a formal announcement is made.”
However it can be noted that Salman’s own family is very secular. They have Muslim, Hindu and Christian members in their large family, which stays together in Bandra, Mumbai. Speaking on that, Salim Khan the head of the family had once said, “You know I have never believed in any ritual. So on Eid, there is nothing special happening at home. Yes, my wife Salma gets some traditional items cooked; the children and the grandchildren come here and friends drop in.”
But for Salman it’s different. He says, “I'm an entertainer. And my fans want nothing more than for me to give them a good film each year on this day.” That’s certainly true.

The question is can Akshay who has his own fan following, survive the Salman onslaught? Once Upon a time In Mumbai was quite successful.  In the sequel Akshay is supposed to play the role of Dawood Ibrahim, which was played by Emraan Hashmi in the prequel. The other members in the casting are Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonali Bendre. The film is directed by Milan Lutria and the producer is Balaji Telefilms. It’s supposed to be Akshay’s one of the biggest movies. Akshay’s next movie Khiladi 786 release was scheduled to be on 7th December. But it seems now it is postponed for the time being.

May be Salman is also wary of this big clash. He hasn’t said anything on that yet as it is almost a year ahead from now. Well, the fans can hardly wait for the big two to clash on screen.
