Guess who wanted Deepika to miss Ranbir’s birthday bash?

Ranbir Kapoorcelebrated his 30th birthday on September 27th. However the birthday bash did have that extra spice that it required.
His ex-flames Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif were both present at the party. One wonders how they would have greeted each other, when they were face-to-face. Apparently the rumor going around is that, Katrina didn’t want Deepika to attend the party. Though Katrina continues to say to the media that she is ‘very much single’, her actions say otherwise.
A source revealed the secret, saying “There is nothing between Deepika and Ranbir currently. They are co-stars in Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani and share a cordial relation. It is clear that Ranbir has moved on in life. However, Kat allegedly didn't fancy having Deepu at RK's party because she is still threatened by her presence.”
Deepika had been shooting the whole day with Ranbir for Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani ’. So it would have been quite obviously rude had she not been invited to the party. The source further said, “Just imagine how odd it would've looked if Katrina and Anushka were at the party. And Deepika, who was shooting with Ranbir all through the day, wasn't included. In fact, Deepika and Ranbir maintain that they are friends and Deepu's not being at the party would definitely send out the wrong signals.”
In fact the party was also arranged by Ayan Mukerji and Arti Shetty. Arti is the daughter of producer Manmohan Shetty and she is also said to be close to Ranbir.
Deepika had also attended Ranbir’s 29th birthday celebrations last year. Also she continues to have the tattoo RK, around her neck. The RK means Ranbir Kapoor. Seems she still has a soft corner for Ranbir in her heart. Which Katrina is quite aware of, and would be the reason she didn’t want Deepika to be near to Ranbir for too long.
The other people to attend the party were, Anuskha Sharma, who would be working with Ranbir in the movie Bombay Velvet. Arjun Kapoor was also present, so were Anurag Kashyap and his actress wife Kalki Koechlin .Karan Johar, whose Dharma productions is producing ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ was there. The Barfi! Team of UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu and music director Pritam were also present. However, strange enough, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir’s parents were missing from the party scene.
