‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crosses 200 crore mark


 
Director Kabir Khan is basking in the joy as his latest film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ starring Katrina Kaif and Salman Khanin the lead has crossed the 200 crore mark. Released on Independence Day, August 15th‘Ek Tha Tiger’ made a history of biggest opening in Bollywood. It also made a record of fastest 100.

Kabir Khan had also thrown a big bash to mark the success of the movie. He said that he is very happy that his film crossed the 200 crore mark at the box-office but also said that there is more to films than just numbers.

Combination of good script and ear-soothing songs made the film the biggest opener of 2012. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s jodi really done wonder.
The way the film ended, it leaves a scope for the sequel but Kabir Kahn as well as Yash Raj banner refused any such plan.

“We have not thought of a sequel for 'Ek Tha Tiger'. We don't have any idea (story line) for the sequel," Kabir informed.
Yash Raj banner also denied the chance of sequel "With the success of the film, it would be the obvious conclusion for anybody to assume that the film deserves a sequel. However, as of now, there are no such plans and it is more conjecture," Yash Raj Films' vice president (marketing and communications) Rafiq Gangjee said.


'Ek Tha Tiger' is an action thriller with an intense love story of an ISI agent and RAW agent at the backdrop.
