Kareena Kapoor’s refusal to sign the no pregnancy clause on the papers of ‘Ram Leela’ gave rise to the rumor that Bebo is planning motherhood very soon after tying the knot with boyfriend and that’s the reason why she has not signed the no pregnancy clause. This is the second time Sanjay and Kareena had differences over ‘Ram Leela’. Sanjay Leela Bhansali after finalizing Bebo made up his mind to drop her due to her marital status. Sanjay does not want to cast a married actress in his film.
"The latest clause in the contracts of leading ladies (married, engaged or those in live-in relationships) specifies that the actress agree to not get pregnant during the time of the principal photography because filmmakers do not wish to sit on the set, minding the baby (pun intended) while their shooting is in progress. A reliable source tells us that Sanjay Leela Bhansali, like all practical filmmakers, reportedly wanted Kareena Kapoor to sign a contract with a clause that said she will not get pregnant during the making of Ram Leela," informs a source.
Initially, it was predicted that money was the reason of Bebo not being a part of the movie but later the truth came to forefront. "The bone of contention between Bebo and Bhansali wasn't the money; as is being speculated in the media. It is reportedly the pregnancy clause that Bebo refused to sign," a source told a daily.
Kareena’s loss is Deepika’s gain. Deepika Padukone has been signed for ‘Ram Leela’ opposite Ranveer Singh.
It seems Sanjay Leela Bhansali has learnt a good lesson from his contemporaries Madhur Bhandarkar. Madhur’s highly ambitious project ‘Heroine’ was about to shelve if Kareena did not come to his rescue. After signing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it is known that Ash was pregnant and following her pregnancy, she backed out of the project.
