Salman Khan is the box-office king and with back to back hit and almost every film crossing the mark of 100 crore mark, Salman Khan has emerged as the highest tax payer of Bollywood. He paid Rs 8 crore as tax for September quarter.
Last year, he paid Rs 5 crore tax for the month of September and this year it sprung up to 8 crore. Salman Khan’s latest hit ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ made a whopping collection of 198 crore at the box-office. Shahrukh Khan who did not have a major release this year will be paying a tax at Rs 5 crore, the official said.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ leading lady Katrina Kaif paid Rs 2.60 as advance tax crore compared to last season where she paid Rs 1.70 crore. Last year, Aamir Khan paid Rs 4.50 crore last year compared to this September tax of Rs 3.25 crore.
Saif Ali Khan whose film, ‘Cocktail’ tastes success at the box office paid an advance tax of Rs 1.7 crore.
Kareena Kapoor whose highly anticipated film ‘Heroine’ is slated to release on September 21st paid an advance tax of Rs 2.20 crore compared to tax of Rs 1.5 crore she paid same period last year.
Akshay Kumar paid Rs 7.5 crore advance tax in comparison to Rs 5 crore he had paid last year during the same period.
Amitabh Bachchan paid an advance tax of Rs 5 crore compared to Rs 1.4 crore which he paid last year same season.
