Veteran actor Pran who was admitted to Mumbai Lilavati hospital following breathing problem was discharged from hospital. His daughter Pinky Bhalla informed, "he is back home and in perfect health now." He stayed in the hospital for eight days. When he was rushed to the hospital, his wife Pinky informed, “He was admitted about four days ago after he complained of weakness”.
After Pran complained of weakness and breathing problem, he was rushed to Lilavati hospital for treatment. The 92 year old actor is now stable and is doing fine. He was admitted to the hospital a day after diwali. After investigation, it is found that he suffers from pneumonia. He has two sons Arvind and Sunil and a daughter Pinky.
"He was admitted to Lilavati hospital last Friday. He had come for a check-up which turned out to be a respiratory problem. He is doing fine and still in hospital. Nothing to worry," Lilavati hospital spokesperson Dr Sudhir Dagaokar told PTI.
Pran has acted in around 350 Bollywood films. His most popular films include 'Khandaan', 'Aurat', 'Bari Behen', 'Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai', 'Half Ticket', 'Upkar', 'Purab Aur Paschim', 'Don' and 'Zanjeer'.
In 2001, the legendary actor was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his contribution to Indian film industry.
While he was in hospital, Amitabh Bachchan and many Bollywood celebrities came to see him.
Pran won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award in 1967, 1969 and 1972 and received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
